Our friends at Curated Cartoons are off to a great start!
Curated Cartoons is a newly opened, online art gallery, dedicated to the sale of original New Yorker Cartoon art. Owned and operated by Beth Lawler–who also manages a Facebook group devoted to the New Yorker weekly caption contest and co-produces (with Vin Coca and Paul Nesja) a weekly podcast on the Caption Contest and New Yorker cartoons in general. Curated Cartoons sells original, one-of-a-kind New Yorker cartoon art and other art by New Yorker cartoonists. They celebrated the launch of Curated Cartoons and the 100th episode of the podcast with a party! Our readers are familiar with the cartoonist’s work but here are some of their smiling faces.

Beth and Curated Cartoons have accepted consignments from more than 40 New Yorker cartoonists or their families, and her husband (an avid original comic art collector himself) scours auctions and cuts deals with other collectors in search of New Yorker cartoon art from the long-lost past. The site already has over 400 original pieces for sale, including art from some New Yorker legends like Peter Steiner, Jack Ziegler, Eldon Dedini, Leo Cullum, and Mort Gerberg. Even Bob Mankoff has agreed to consign a few pieces to Curated Cartoons! They are looking forward to offering his original artwork on their site. They are also very lucky to have Bob Mankoff, Trevor Hoey and Tom Toro on our Panel of Authenticators.
